Rotate the Image 45 Degrees?

Okay, this is a long shot but I figured I might as well ask. I've never been able to play Ultima 7 because the weird oblique perspective makes me motion sick.
Would it be even possible to render the image 45 degrees counter clockwise in realtime with Exult? This feels like a stupid question because the obvious answer is "no, stupid" but I might as well throw it out there.
